The new tracking device designed for Kippy must also meet the needs of cats who can only tolerate a light, small device molded into the curved shapes of the collar.
The solution
Despite the smaller size, the device has multi-constellation GNSS capability, a large capacity curved battery, inertial sensors for motion detection and a buzzer. It takes advantage of Narrow Band and CAT1 technology.
