Manufacturing

The move from design to volume production is smooth and structured, thanks to solid production engineering and efficient component procurement. DAOS Group coordinates the entire manufacturing chain, using state-of-the-art SMT and THT assembly lines. Quality is ensured by stringent controls such as 3D optical inspection and X-ray inspection, followed by thorough functional testing. The process ends with final mechanical assembly and structured logistics management, delivering finished products that are ready for market.

Our services

What we do

Production engineering

Industrialisation of the product to optimise the manufacturing process. This stage defines assembly flows, production panels and the tooling required to cut costs and eliminate defects.

Component purchasing

Strategic supply chain management and procurement of the entire bill of materials (BOM). Through a global distributor network, we ensure the availability of electronic and mechanical components at the best cost.

PCB

Choosing the right partner for the right PCB is essential. PCBs are often considered all alike, but the way they are designed defines the technologies needed to build them and the choice of the exact partner. Multi-layer, rigid-flex, on different substrates, with controlled impedances, with unconventional finishes: every design choice determines a complexity that must be addressed with the right partner.

SMT assembly

High-precision, high-speed automated mounting of surface-mount components onto the PCB. State-of-the-art lines that handle miniaturised and complex packages such as BGA and QFN.

THT assembly

Manual or wave soldering of traditional through-hole components (such as connectors or large capacitors), essential for elements that require high mechanical strength.

3D AOI inspection

Automated 100% computerised inspection of assembled boards. High-resolution 3D cameras instantly detect soldering defects, misalignments or missing components.

Xray inspection

Penetrating radiographic analysis to check the solder joints hidden beneath complex components (such as the invisible pins of BGAs), guaranteeing the complete absence of voids or internal short circuits.

Functional testing

Electrical and performance tests carried out on every single board using dedicated test benches (bed-of-nails or specific functional tests) to certify that the device fully meets the design specifications.

Mechanical assembly

Final integration of the electronic board into its mechanical housing, adding cabling, displays, screws and accessories, delivering the finished product on a turnkey basis.

Logistics

Management of custom packaging, warehouse storage and tracked worldwide shipping, ensuring punctual delivery flows optimised to the client's needs.
