Client briefing
The client is already established in this significant market with its own products, built and refined over time. The shutdown of 2G networks, and the need to take advantage of newer technologies, led it to consider a complete redesign of the device's electronics, mechanics and firmware.
The solution
The electronic circuit, housed in a purpose-designed custom enclosure, uses Telit components to handle communication and GNSS positioning.
The system carries a set of sensors that raise alarms on movement, noise detection and vibration, while keeping consumption to a minimum for long periods as it waits for a wake-up event.
Purpose-written firmware manages data transfer to an MQTT broker. The device passed every check for CRA certification.
