Onetray

The client needed a battery-free system able to show the sanitisation status of the trays used at airport security checkpoints.

The electronic circuit is powered by an electromagnetic field generated by a transmitter fitted inside the sterilising machine. The harvested energy is stored in supercapacitors, enough to activate the tray's functions. A green LED shows that the tray is clean, and a capacitive sensor detects any touch and switches the LED off.
